Gotu Kola, Cut & Sifted (Wildcrafted)
Gotu kola is one of the great longevity herbs of the Eastern world. In Ayurvedic medicine it is known as Brahmi — named for Brahma, the Hindu god of creation — and has been used for thousands of years as a rasayana, a rejuvenating tonic for the mind and body. In traditional Chinese medicine it appears as ji xue cao, used to support circulation and overall vitality. In Sri Lanka, legend holds that elephants — known for their exceptional longevity and memory — graze on gotu kola regularly, which is how the herb earned its reputation as a longevity plant. It is a small, unassuming creeping herb that grows in moist tropical environments, with round scalloped leaves that give no outward hint of the depth of its traditional use.
Our gotu kola is wildcrafted cut and sifted aerial parts — the leaves and stems of Centella asiatica, carefully harvested from wild plants and dried to preserve their triterpenoids, asiaticoside, and flavonoid content. Muted olive-green, with a mild, slightly bitter, faintly grassy character. Wildcrafted from its natural habitat and packed to order in small batches.

Tincture: Gotu kola tinctures well in moderate-proof alcohol. Macerate 4–6 weeks, shaking daily. Strain and bottle. A classic preparation for cognitive and nervous system support.
Blending: A classic pairing with bacopa for cognitive support formulas, ashwagandha and skullcap for nervous system nourishment blends, or tulsi and lemon balm for everyday calm and clarity teas.
