Rosemary , Whole Leaf (Organic)
Rosemary is one of those rare herbs that belongs equally in the kitchen and the apothecary. Intensely aromatic, resinous, and unmistakably Mediterranean — a single pinch fills the room. But beyond its culinary fame, rosemary has a rich and well-documented history as a traditional wellness herb that deserves far more credit than it gets.
Our rosemary is certified organic, whole leaf, and dried at peak aromatic potency. Needle-like leaves with that characteristic deep green color and bold, camphor-forward fragrance that signals quality. Clean, potent, and exactly what a serious herb buyer expects.
Traditionally Used to Support
- Cognitive wellness & memory — rosemary's most celebrated traditional use beyond the kitchen; long associated in European folk tradition with memory and mental clarity, and the subject of growing modern interest
- Circulation support — traditionally used as a warming circulatory herb to support healthy blood flow, particularly to the extremities and head
- Digestive comfort — used in Mediterranean herbal traditions to support healthy digestion, ease bloating, and stimulate appetite
- Antioxidant support — rich in rosmarinic acid and carnosic acid, two of the most well-studied plant antioxidants
- Scalp & hair wellness — a classic folk preparation; rosemary-infused oil and rinses have been used for centuries to support scalp circulation and hair vitality
How to Use
As a tea: Steep 1 teaspoon of whole leaf rosemary in 8 oz of just-boiled water for 8–10 minutes, covered. Bold and aromatic — a little goes a long way. Pairs beautifully with lemon and honey.
Culinary: Use whole leaves in roasting, braising, infused oils, herb butters, breads, and marinades. One of the most versatile culinary herbs in the apothecary pantry.
Infused oil: Cover whole leaves with a carrier oil of choice and infuse for 4–6 weeks in a cool dark place, or gently warm infuse for 2–4 hours. Classic for scalp massage and culinary finishing oils.
Tincture: Macerate in high-proof alcohol for 4–6 weeks. Pairs well with ginkgo and gotu kola for a cognitive support formula.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Properly stored, whole leaf rosemary retains its potency and aroma for 1–2 years.
Certified organic. Whole leaf. Small batch sourced.
A Note From Our Herbalist
Rosemary holds a special place in our apothecary — and a personal one. After years of wearing tight ponytails, I noticed thinning and breakage along my hairline. I began incorporating rosemary rinses into my weekly routine, and over time I saw real, meaningful regrowth in those areas. It is now a non-negotiable part of my self-care practice. Knowing firsthand what this herb can do is part of why we source it with such care. We hope it serves you just as well.
