Summer Elderberry Syrup Blend

Deep purple, bright, and gently warming — a traditional elderberry blend you simmer at home.

Summer Elderberry is a simmered blend built on botanicals trusted by traditional herbalists for generations:

• Elderberries — traditionally used for generations to support the immune system, rich in the deep-purple anthocyanins elderberries are known for
• Rose Hips — one of the most concentrated plant sources of vitamin C, a traditional immune-support herb
• Hibiscus — bright tartness and naturally occurring antioxidants
• Ginger Root — gentle warmth, traditionally used for settling the stomach
• Lemon Peel — bright citrus that rounds out the blend

Two ways to make it — use the entire 1 oz (28 g) bag either way:

Classic concentrate: Combine the entire bag with 2¼ cups water. Cover and gently simmer 20–30 minutes. Remove from heat and steep, covered, another 10 minutes. Strain and cool slightly, then stir in ¼ to ⅓ cup honey while warm but not boiling. Chill and serve as a drinkable wellness shot or over ice. This lightly sweetened concentrate is a 72-hour version: refrigerate and use within 72 hours, or freeze in individual portions.

Traditional syrup (longer keep): Combine the entire bag with 3 cups water. Simmer uncovered 45–60 minutes, until the liquid is reduced by about half. Remove from heat and cool 10–15 minutes, then strain and stir in 1 cup honey while warm but not boiling. Pour into a clean jar and refrigerate. With this heavier honey ratio, the finished syrup keeps up to 4 weeks refrigerated.

Ingredients: Organic dried Elderberries, Rose Hips, Hibiscus, Ginger Root, Lemon Peel. No fillers, additives, or preservatives. The finished syrup contains honey, so it is not vegan — and honey is not for infants under 1 year.
